Good Places

A page of good places. Some of these are organizations I currently volunteer for, like IFIN and infosec.exchange. Others I have volunteered for in the past (Operation Safe Escape, the Stop Stalkerware coalition, and the New Jersey Audubon Society) or just support the work they have been doing. Details and links are below.

I volunteer here now

• IFIN (Independent Federated Intelligence Network). Open, community threat intel, mutual aid, people sharing context instead of hoarding it. Helped in the creation and administration.

• infosec.exchange The instance I am on and help moderate. Good mod team, great for infosec professionals and “normies” a like.

I volunteered in the past

• Operation Safe Escape (501c3). Domestic violence, stalking, that whole space. I helped for a while. I still point people that way when it fits.

• Coalition against stalkerware (the Stop Stalkerware project). Part of a loose coalition; good people working a hard problem.

• New Jersey Audubon Nature, birds, habitat, conservation, education, etc. Teaching others about the natural beauty of New Jersey.

• EFF Defending digital rights and privacy

• Fedora Project The Linux distro and community. I use it, therefore it is the best and you must also use it to be friends with me. (/j)

• Privacy Guides Great privacy resource that is both readable for most and also relatively accurate.

• GAYINT Bringing CTI out of the closet since 2025. Doing good things for the field, for threat intel and for the world.
